Will Northstar Training offer courses during the Covid 19 epidemic?
Courses will not be offered in 2021. Courses will resume when Covid 19 is no longer a danger to the instructor and the students.
How do I register?
Register on-line by filling in the registration form and pressing the submit button. Also, call (337-233-0830 ) or email [email protected] with the student name and date of the course.
What happens after registering for a course?
After registration, you will receive an email with a copy of the confirmation letter, invoice, maps and directions to the classroom. Upon request, the original confirmation letter and invoice will be mailed to you. If you do not receive an email within a couple of business days of registration, please notify us. We would be more than happy to resend the email.
When are tuition fees due?
The full fee is due prior to the start date of the course. The course fees are invoiced about 2 months before the first day of class.
Are credit cards accepted?
Payment is accepted in the form of cash, check, credit card or wire transfer. American Express, Master Card, Discover and Visa are accepted.
What does the tuition fee cover?
The fees include course materials, daily refreshments and a Certificate of Completion. It does not cover hotel cost, meals or any travel expenses.
What is our registration and cancellation policy?
Our company policy is to hold the registration period open until three (3) weeks before the start of the school. This is to minimize the chance that we will need to cancel or reschedule a school. If enrollment has insufficient numbers three (3) weeks prior to the course, we reserve the right to cancel the course. We hope you understand our position and make your travel plans accordingly, as we cannot be responsible for fees charged for canceling or changing your travel plans.
Cancellation by the student within three (3) weeks before the course starts will be charged full tuition fees. However, as a courtesy, we will allow you to apply your payment toward any future seminar within one year from the date you cancel. Substitutions are welcome and names may be changed at any time.
What are the class hours?
Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. on the first day of school with class starting promptly at 8:00 a.m. Normally class hours will be from 8:00 a.m. ‑ 5:00 p.m. Attendees are on their own for a lunch, usually from 12:00 ‑ 1:00. Times may vary each day.
What time does the last day of class end?
All five (5) day courses usually ends by noon on the last day. If you must leave early, please let the instructor know. If he can, he will adjust his schedule to accommodate your early departure.
Can these schools be used for the continuing education requirements for the engineering license?
All students will receive thirty-six (36) hours for attendance in each five day course.
What is the closest airport to Northstar Training?
The closet airport is the Lafayette Regional Airport (LFT) in Lafayette, LA. It is about five (5) minutes away. It is recommended that you arrive two (2) hours prior to the departure time.
What is the best way to travel in Lafayette between the Airport, hotels and classroom?
If a student is not arriving in their own vehicle, a rental car is suggested. There are no hotels within walking distance.
